how you can support our charity

Let us introduce you to Blackwell Adventure. We are a non-profit making charity and are very proud of the outdoor activities, camping and accommodation we offer over 20,000 young people each year.

Founded in 2006, we run the centre on behalf of the Birmingham Scout Association who own Blackwell Adventure. We are proud to deliver fun, adventure and activities to over 200 youth organisations including Scout Association, Girl Guides, Boys Brigade, After Adoption, Touchstones, Street Games, St John Ambulance, Salvation Army, Pathfinders.

Blackwell Adventure is a non-profit making charity therefore the prices are set on the basis of covering costs to enable children and young people to come along and experience the opportunities available at a price they can afford.

Blackwell for Business is our ‘corporate arm’ through which your organisation can learn and develop through taking part in the Blackwell Adventure experience, securing a strong return on your investment and at the same time support Blackwell Adventure, the children and young people who use the centre. By using Blackwell for Business, you will also be able to illustrate how you are meeting some of your corporate social responsibility targets.

For this support of our charitable aims we are very grateful.

Here are some examples of the work we deliver:

Vicky | Touchstones – Supporting bereaved young people in NE Worcs

Our children have been coming to Blackwell for 5 years now and the outcomes they achieve are above and beyond what we could expect. They come feeling vulnerable and nervous and leave having experienced wonderful things along with other children in a similar position

Nancy | After Adoption – Family finding and adoption support

Using Blackwell means we are able to bring our children along to enjoy a residential experience alongside children who are also from an adopted background. The activities are great and encourage the children to come out of their shells, they teach the children how to support each other and they can do more than maybe what they perceived

Paddy | Bromsgrove Scouts РVoluntary run local group for 11-14yr olds

Our Scout group comes up to Blackwell on a regular basis for lots of fun and outdoor activities. Everything from camping, cooking on open fires, orienteering, bivouac building and of course a go on the Zip Wire. It really supports the Scouting work we do by providing a safe environment for the children to enjoy.

Debbie | Streetsbrook Infant School Р Based in the Midlands, with children aged between 7-8yrs old

We have been coming to Blackwell for 8 years now and every year we get so much pleasure from seeing how much the children gain from the centre. They come feeling nervous and a little homesick but with the encouragement from the Blackwell team they finish on a real high , chuffed with all they have achieved
